Does a good job frothing the milk and making a good tasting latte. Wish they would come out with Soy Latte and/or Vanilla Latte now.

I had given up on the Tassimo as a latte maker. I was only using the Nabob coffee discs. I had tried Jacob's Machiatto (too light) and the Gevalia ones (milk had an off taste). My favorite latte comes from Nordstrom's Coffee Bar. I like it with a shot of raspberry. I had tried all kinds of home experiments to recreate this experience, but always could not temper the taste correctly. I use raspberry syrup from Caribou Coffee, but the Tassimo lattes could not stand up to the mixing. Latte would be too cold or just not mesh in flavor with the t-disc. Starbucks Latte Primo is the first disc set that does the trick in taste for me. I just start with a shot of Caribou Raspberry (microwaved for 20 seconds) and then brew the milk disc and last, the espresso shot. The taste is practically identical to my Norstrom experience. The milk disc from Starbucks is very rich without any off-flavor like the butter taste of the Gevalia and bland taste of Jacob's. The expresso is just strong enough to hold everything together in balanced flavor. I usually can not palette Starbucks Coffee in the cafe or via Tassimo, always too strong of a blend. But, for this latte it is perfect. I am now buying more mavea filters because the Tassimo is back in use. The recession caused me to abide with more scrutiny concerning my purchases for the Tassimo, but a well worth it taste from this latte gives me justification to splurge just slightly, again. I may have tried the latte without the shot only once. I still preferred the flavor over the other Tassimo brands of latte, including the Maxwell House. But, the Caribou raspberry is really what turns the entire experience for me, so I can not comment on the latte system as a single taste experience except that the milk is just so much easier on the taste buds than the other brands and the espresso has some real body.

I am not a huge coffee drinker, but now that I have my Tassimo and my t discs I have a cup at least once a day. Starbucks Latte is my favorite. Actually, it's a toss-up between the cappuccino and the latte. I enjoy them both. Recently, my mother and I went to Memphis and Cape Girardeau, MO and we took the Tassimo system and a variety of t discs with us. It was really nice to wake up every morning to a Starbucks latte, or have a cup of tea before bed. I am so glad I can make my Starbucks latte at home. I enjoy the flavor more than any other t disc. I like to add a little caramel ice cream topping to mine. It's so good!

This is why I love the Tassimo system above other one-cup brewers. It can make a TRUE latte with froth and real milk. This comes with the milk discs (packaged to not need refrigeration) and the espresso disc needed to make a real latte.
Oddly, to make it correctly, I was surprised you are supposed to put the milk T-disc in first, then follow it by the espresso one, but it truly froths best that way.
It is extremely smooth tasting, very creamy and rich, and has the perfect balance of coffee to cream froth for me.
Great comfort drink without having to drive to Starbucks. And cheaper. And less calories than the one at Starbucks too!

I am usually not a fan of the Tassimo products that have milk discs, because the ones I had previously tried had a chemical-like taste. However, I did give this Starbucks Latte Primo a try and was pleasantly surprised. One thing I don't like is the delay between the milk and the expresso. My Tassimo machine runs the milk through fine, and then I replace the milk disc with the expresso, and then I have to wait for it to heat up again. Occasionally, it surprises me by being ready to run the expresso right away, but that's rare.
Note a cheaper and just as good approach as this product (in my opinion) is to use your own milk and an expresso disc. I fill a small coffee cup about half full with milk, put that into the microwave for about 30 seconds while waiting for the Tassimo to preheat for the expresso. Then I run the expresso in, and then usually press and hold the button until the cup is full.
